“We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.”

You won't like me when I'm full

OK so I haven't updated my blog in ages, but I have good reasons! Since we last talked I had a phone screen with twitch.tv and an on-site interview with Bandai Namco. Sadly they weren't hiring junior devs for twitch, but I had a great chat with the technical recruiter anyway. I had my on-site interview Tuesday, and MAN was their new building amazing. Their layout had small passages and corners like a Pacman maze and awesome life-sized figures everywhere. I would tell you more about the interview but I signed an NDA about pretty much everything. BUT what I CAN tell you is that the team that the position I applied for is AMAZING. They're so passionate about what they do and I would love to be a part of what they're building. I've been getting some positive feedback from the team so hopefully something will come out of that :).

On Wednesday, I drove down to Arcadia to visit Cindy's parents for her birthday where we went out to a Chinese/Vietnamese seafood place. It was pretty good! They couldn't finish the lobster so I put on my pauldrons and carried everyone to victory. The next we went to the LA Natural History Museum and the ScienCenter. Looking at the gemstones and rocks was probably the best part of the Natural History Museum, but most of the things going on in the ScienCenter was pretty cool. We stopped by Sushi Damu in West Covina for AYCE sushi. Apparently I become pretty quick and witty when I'm full (hence the title) and basically threw SO MUCH SHADE on Cindy's brother all night for not eating a lot ;P. We went home and played three games of HOTS. I totally forgot how fun Heroes of the Storm was. Cindy and Dan don't have Overwatch, but HOTS is still good enough.

BTW. We've been getting back into doing T25 (workout video) every morning and it's been really great. Since we don't have a gym membership in the area it's a great substitute. Today (Friday) Cindy and I went to a day spa for a massage (me) and a facial (her). It was probably one of the most relaxing things I've experienced in a LONG time, definitely coming back! Now I'm back to applying to jobs and watching Cindy play Ocarina of time for the first time and it's hilarious. Thanks for stopping by, I'll update soon!
